Brianna Coccia
Location Sound Mixer
Breaking into the industry in 2015, Brianna Coccia has made a name for herself running audio for solo acts, wedding bands, theatrical sound, and location sound mixing. One of her favorite productions to help orchestrate was Finn’s A New Brain, for which her sound design landed her an Achievement Award in Sound Design by KCACTF. Brianna has a certification in audio production and is currently pursuing a BBA in business management with a focus in audio recording technology. Her passion for connecting people emotionally through sound has taken her on the path to large-scale productions with the ultimate goal of creating the maximum impact with her sound waves.
"An audio engineer is a masterful puppeteer of emotions, coordinating sound waves to evoke a genuine and emotional response within the audience. You don’t have to understand the words being spoken to feel the unity in what is being said"
Beyond the audio world, Brianna is the Social Media Administrator and Co-Production Manager of The Summer Concert Series 2020 and Program Director of the Teenys Reimagined 2020 for the Islip Arts Council and Islip Arts Museum. Her favorite passion project is working as a field reporter and staff writer for online music publication LongIslandSound.Love. In her free time, she enjoys shredding the gnar on her skateboard, playing her original music, painting, modeling, and taking care of her 14 plant babies.
